Core Supports – Everyday support needs like personal care, transport, or assistance at home.

Capacity Building – Supports that help you build independence and learn new skills.

Capital Supports – One-off purchases like equipment, home modifications, or assistive technology.

Support Coordinator – A person who helps you connect with the right services and make the most of your plan.

Service Agreement – A contract between you and your provider that outlines your supports and responsibilities.

LAC (Local Area Coordinator) – A community-based partner of the NDIS who helps you access services.

SDA (Specialist Disability Accommodation) – Housing designed for people with very high support needs.

STA (Short Term Accommodation) – Also known as respite, STA offers temporary housing and support—giving you or your carer a break, while helping you build skills and independence in a new setting.
